Overdue update

So it's been awhile since we've updated anything, but it's been a crazy month. Keith has been busy interviewing with various companies for an internship next summer and as part of that search, we spent a week recently in Washington. He visited a couple of companies and networked with Alumni, meanwhile we got to visit family! It was a long drive, but we made it and Alex did great!! Here are some pictures of keeping busy in the car:

One of the things I did, was go with my mom and sister to an activity my sister has at the mall Monday nights, Alex enjoyed playing on the various toys...he didn't care that none of them moved, he just liked climbing in and on them all!
My mom has quite the collection of dolls that look very realistic. Alex took a liking to this one, he put the pacifier in it's mouth (and his), patted it's back, and dragged it around the house!
In a cute consignment shop we found this wooden rocking horse, Alex had a lot of fun playing on that while I looked at boring stuff!
The last day we were there we went the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. It was so fun to see Alex's excitement as he got to see these real animals that he usually only sees pictures of. He did call the camel and cow, and Moo'd profusely at it, and thought the wolves were dogs, but we sure had a lot of fun!
 Elephants...
 Otters...
 Penguins
 Wolves
And on the way out of the park, we had to stop and play in the leaves that had been raked up!!!! Alex REALLY enjoyed that part and it was quite the struggle to get him to leave.
When we got home from the trip, he still loved his carseat...coverless and all!
Other than that, Alex is trying to do new things like jump, climb the cupboards, he loves to help me do things like open the car with the keys, put the laundry in the washer, pull the laundry out of the hampers, vacuum, clean up his toys, make meals (especially if a pancake turner is involved!), take out the garbage, put his diapers in the garbage, and to run and play!
I'm feeling better now, my morning sickness has finally subsided! Hooray!! We're excited for all our Halloween activities this weekend! Now we just need to figure out what we want to dress up as!

  1. I missed the memo that you're expecting, congrats! What a trooper to deal with morning sickness on a long car ride.

Good luck finding an internship Keith!

  2. Oh my gosh! Somehow I missed the memo too! Congratulations! That is really exciting!

I cannot believe how big Alex is getting! I am amazed that he do all those things you talked about in this post! Sounds like he will be a big help when the new little one comes.

    When are you due?
