My hat it is a bucket...

So one thing Alex has been doing lately has been as we get ready to go, he picks a few things that he wants to take with him. Yesterday we were headed to the park and he grabbed his blanket, an outlet cover (the one that's supposed to be in the outlet so he can't play with them) and a remote controlled Jeep our neighbor have us since the battery doesn't work in it anymore. This usually is just a cute quirky thing and the items he chooses are most often left in the car, forgotten about before we get to our destination. Well today as we were getting ready for church, Alex put this bucket on his head...
you may remember this picture from earlier...that time it was left on for a minute or two at a time...then taken right off. Well, Keith tried to get Alex to leave the bucket-hat at home...it is a little flamboyant for church. Alex started to throw the biggest fit over it. He was not going to leave without his hat. So, deeming this as not worthy of the fight it would be, we let him wear it as we walked over to the church. I thought 'oh he'll take it off soon'. Well by the end of Sunday School his hair was matted to his head, there was condensation in the bucket from the heat coming off his head with no where to vent through this plastic bucket. Sometime during Priesthood, Keith got him to switch to a knit hat. He got a lot of compliments on his hat though. Maybe it's a new fashion??
