I am so far behind in updating the blog--here's the past couple of weeks in picture review!

 Labor Day we hiked to the Y--Alex was pretty uncooperative for the first part, but as soon as he found himself a stick and had a cookie--things picked up and he actually walked most of the rest of the way.

 We made it to the top!! Man--that's an intense hike with two kids, especially!

 Now Keith can graduate with a clear conscience--he has finally hiked the Y after seven years and almost two (three if you count that he almost had two in his undergrad years) degrees.

 Alex has introduced Savanna to the joy of forts!

 Alex helped me make some apple crisp--he really enjoyed the apple slicer/peeler/corer. Turn, turn, turn.

 Alex came out and told me that he had shared with Savanna--I went in and found this--he put his hat on her head. What a nice brother!!

 We have been helping a lady in our ward by walking her daughters dog that she is dog sitting. We were getting ready to go when Alex put on the baby carrier and told Savanna to 'come here'.

Savanna has discovered how yummy her TOES are!!! I love this stage, I think it's SOO cute!

Keith has been enjoying his classes so far this semester. It hasn't been too demanding on his time--it's been nice that he hasn't been doing recruiting. He has late nights both Tuesday and Thursday, so that's been kind of hard, but he does go in late those days.

Alex has found that he doesn't have to listen when I tell him things (especially at the park when I'm not right next to him and I've got Savanna) so things have gotten interesting at times. We are both finding our balance of wills.
Alex is getting more aware of 'friends' around him. We were at a park for an opening social and he and another little boy ran around and played together for two hours. It was cute to see them interacting and to have him move into this new stage of play.
He is also beginning to use his imagination--it's fun to see him adding character to life. Animals do things, most things are phones, plots are beginning to form during play.
He still LOVES nursery and is excited to go every week--which is such a blessing, we just got new leaders in there and it's going to be great, they are going to do more than let them run around crazy, I'm excited for there to be a bit more structure for him!

Savanna continues to delight everyone around her. She is in a very friendly stage--even when she's really tired and getting grumpy--if a new person comes to say hello to her, she'll be all smiles for them. She's making a lot of friends! We think she's teething--and her sleep schedule is changing. It seems like it gets worse before it gets better as we all adjust.

We found out that our first assignment with General Mills will be in Hannibal Missouri! It's kind of fun since we got to go and visit this summer. It will be fun to experience life in a small town for awhile. We'll be there for about 18 months.
