Well, obviously lots has happened since July--I can't hope to remember even half of it, but I can tell you that we survived it all, whatever it all was. :) Thankfully we have pictures!
We ended July going to a baseball game--our local Hannibal Cavemen team. We were given ticket to it from Keith's work with baseball money to use on concessions. It was fun, though Alex was done before it was over.
Savanna loves Abby, Abby is adored by all and gets lots of love and attention from her siblings. Alex is such a helpful older brother.
Savanna parading her animals across the piano. The kids are cute, they love to sit and sing along to their own playing. We try to keep all toys off, but this was pretty cute!
Alex really wanted to go camping, so we set up the kids play tent in their room. Keith did take them backyard camping one weekend. They were SO excited!
We went to a birthday party for a little friend of ours and the kids found these--they both loved them. I love that even though Savanna can be as girly as can be she loves to follow Alex around and play super heroes, hammer, and get dirty!
We had a good crop of cicadas--not as bad as some areas but we found these shells all over the trees at the park one week. Kind of interesting, kind of gross
Blurry, but Abby is getting so big! She sits supported pretty well, she rolls over from her back to her stomach (sometimes to her own dismay), and is totally adorable! She babbles and laughs at Alex and Savanna's crazy antics.

First day of school for Alex, Savanna wanted to go the park. She was disappointed to find that there were no friends there. :( but she did look pretty darn cute sporting Mommy's sunglasses!
Keith went out of town the beginning of August with the YM in our branch. They used the minivan so I had the Honda with all three kids (nothing like an experience like that to make me love my van even more!!) But I got to deal with this one day while he was gone...and again when he got back. :( Good thing this mama can change a tire like a pro!
For Keith's birthday he got to finish his preparations for his newest project/obsession. He decided to turn our old aquarium into a home for some frogs, newts, and a gecko. He spent hours researching and preparing for it. It's been pretty fun. We only have newts and frogs so far (well two little fish to condition the water). Something new to stare into and search out the animals in.
Alex came in the house one day with a whole handful of leaves, it turned into this project. Pretty cute!

We went to a place in St Louis called Grant's Farm. We picked on of the hottest days to go, but we still had fun riding the carousel...
Not so much fun feeding the goats....(much too scary for Savanna--maybe a little traumatizing)
and seeing a variety of animals.
Keith got a lego set for his birthday and he and Alex took a couple of days to put it together. Keith coached Alex and let Alex basically put it together himself. There were step by step instructions, but quite the project! So proud of my boys!! What a great dad to patiently allow an experience like that to happen!

September we went to Washington to a family reunion. Savanna and her cousin in matching swim suits! Cute girls!
Here was the set up--hose water in garbage cans leading to a huge slip and slide. Cold water!!!
We went out to Ocean Shores to the ocean. It was so great to share this part of me with my children. It was an overcast day but the sun did come out for a bit and the temperature was great! the kids had fun playing in the sand and the waves, until one unexpectedly large one knocked Savanna over and that was the end of wanting to be in the waves! But the shells on the beach help plenty of appeal!
Abby slept the whole time, unfortunately she got sunburned and cried the whole way home.
We went to downtown Seattle to the aquarium. Savanna REALLY wanted to get in the seals tank and go swimming with them. She spent 20 minutes looking for a way she could get in. Luckily the walls were very high!

Reminds me of Alex when he was 2, he would line little animals and things up like this. Still does it sometimes. Savanna is now into it!

Now we are working on getting ready for Halloween--another favorite project for Keith.
Alex is really enjoying preschool. Savanna wishes she could go with him. We LOVED General Conference. I am excited to go back and re-read the talks. The Primary Sacrament program is coming up in two weeks, it will be tender to see Alex participate in it.
