The 31st our Ward had it's Annual Pool Party at a local water park. It has a large children's area, two water slides, and a huge pool. This is the same place we took Alex to for swimming lessons not too long ago. We thought that Alex would be cautious and not very into it, since that was how he was the last time we were there....boy were we WRONG!!!! He couldn't be held back!! He went running as soon as we got there to get into the pool. He went face down into the water multiple times, came up sputtering and pushing to continue his tireless trek around the place. He went down the water slides three different times, wandered the kiddy pool and the shallow end of the big pool, and kept us wondering where this enthusiasm for water had come from suddenly!! We were sure glad that he was enjoying himself, and were amused that despite his chattering teeth and purple lips, he didn't want to get out and was quite upset that we would make him hold still in a towel while there was still water to be played in!!
Keith's mom is here helping his sister with her new baby and she came over Saturday night to visit. While she was here Alex made a HUGE discovery...to give a little background, Alex LOVES LOVES LOVES to give raspberries (according to Urban Dictionary, "To blow on someone's belly causing them to squeal like a piggy.") He blows on my upper arm, our backs, sides, knees, tummy's, anywhere he can find flesh enough to do it. Well, he was sitting there and leaned over and blew a raspberry on his leg. A light came on and he started pulling up his shirt and trying to reach his belly. It was so funny, we were laughing so hard as he tried time and again to reach his lips to his belly--ending up in some funny positions. He is pretty flexible, but not enough to blow a raspberry on his own belly!! What a silly boy!!!
