Our hospital does a free "siblings class" where they take the kids on a tour of the maternity section, let them see a baby through the nursery window, take a ride on the hospital bed, dress a doll and themselves in hospital garb, and watch a silly video about being a sibling. The kids had a good time.
I got out the car seat and Savanna wanted it for herself!

Savanna was sitting at the piano singing 'Jesus wants me for a sunbeam' to herself.
Alex was out helping Keith in the yard and apparently saw these blooming and told him that I would love to have them--they were beautiful and brightened the kitchen table for a week.
We went out to Independence to visit the visitors center--they have a gorgeous Christus statue. They had a really great series of presentations--the kids didn't really enjoy having to sit through them and we had quite the major meltdown by Savanna at the end, but we were really glad to have stopped there.
Savanna wanted lots of pictures with Jesus Christ.
We also drove out to Adam-ondi-ahman. It wasn't more than markers and open fields being cultivated. But it was gorgeous and so peaceful.

Alex is getting quite confident on the swing set--or monkey playground. He loves to start at the slide, step into the glider-swing his legs onto the trapeze then work his way down with his legs wrapped around the swing where he makes his final descent to the ground. He's had a few spills at the end there, but nothing serious yet. I wonder what we'll see from him by the end of the summer.
