"I Stand All Amazed"

Ursa Major-6 million light years away
"Pillar of Creation"-New stars being born

Stars

100,000 stars in the middle of a cluster that contains 100 million stars aged 10-12 billion years old

Butterfly Nebula---a dying star

These are pictures taken from the new Hubble Space Telescopes new camera....wish I had one of those! Aren't these amazing! I never cease being amazed by the wonders and beauties of God's creations. Look how beautiful death can be, those gasses bursting from their confines...do we look as beautiful as our spirits rise from our frail mortal bodies? How much more beautiful they'll be when reunited with a perfected body, immortalized.
Doesn't it make you want to exclaim as Moses did, "man is nothing" and yet, we are everything to Heavenly Father and His plan for us! With all these amazing creations, creations that he has numbered and named....they are each known to him, and yet he listens to me--tiny amidst some of these glorious stars and planets....billions and trillions of them....but I'm important to him. At girls camp this year one of the stake leaders asked his wife about the topic of gaining self worth, she replied with, 'you're born with self worth, you just have to learn to recognize it'.
If I, an imperfect mother can concern myself with every little need of my small son, how much more does our perfect Father concern Himself with our every little need? Are we not as precious and treasured as our own children are to us?

Earlier this summer, my friend had a stillborn child...she was 16 weeks along...almost half way when the she lost her baby. I've been following her blog as she and her family has gone through a terribly hard journey. They have been blessed though to have grown closer to each other and to the Lord through their experiences. We are each brought to an understanding at some point of just how near the Lord is, He is by our sides every step of the way that we invite him there. It's so hard to see people walk away from that, to deny testimony they've been given, or to miss out on finding it because they're scared of what they might lose (false/partial knowledge is familiar and it's hard to give it up for some people in order to gain more/clearer/purer/fuller knowledge).
These pictures hit me as so beautiful and masterful, how can anyone deny a loving Creator and Father?
