Overdue update :)

It's been a busy month, and it seems like it's flown by. Alex is exploring more and more and learning to do things like open cupboards, unroll the toilet paper, open and close drawers, we have a toy that uses air to blow small balls up through a tube and then they roll  back down to the inside and around and around they go while it's playing a song. Well Alex will put the balls down the tube himself now, over and over again. It's so cute as he sits there are concentrates really hard about what he's doing.

We went to Alex's nine month well child check up Tuesday morning. He's healthy and growing well. We were glad to have made it through RSV season without Alex catching anything more than a cold. He's in the 40th percentiles for height and weight and his head is still in the 20-25% range. Alex is babbling a lot more now, it sure is cute to hear him saying things like Mama and Daddy. He says something really close to Mama when he wants more of something or something at all, especially in the kitchen. He loves to eat and will try anything he can get his hands on. We were at a fireside this past Sunday (awesome by the way) and were at the back getting some cookies and chatting with a friend of ours. Keith was holding Alex and a small, frosted sugar cookie (about the size of a quarter/half dollar), just as Keith goes to take a bite of it, it's gone....Alex swiped it and shoved the whole thing in his mouth so quickly that neither one of us could do anything but stare in amazement and then laugh at his cookie crumb covered face smeared with pink frosting. :) He enjoyed it, a lot.

Last night, Keith's old roommate and his wife invited us to go to a Utah Flash basketball game with them. So we went along with another past roommate and his wife and then a brother of the original couple. We all had a great time, it was a high scoring game and we found out quite the important one ranking-wise as this game was the decider as to who would go on to the tournament. Utah won. Alex did not enjoy the game very much, it was too loud and any time we cheered, he cried hard. He was also pretty tired, so considering the loud music/crowd, and unfamiliar surroundings he did really well.

Keith has been working on some online classes that BYU's MBA program requires being passed in order to be fully accepted into the program for this Fall. He finished the Accounting one and is now working diligently on the Statistics class. I'm sure he'll be glad to be finished when he's done, but it's been a good review so the terms and concepts will be fresh this Fall when he starts the program. He and the other students that will be starting this Fall have started a Google group to start to get to know eachother, Keith has been surprised by the number of people that he already knows! One couple we both have connections with, Keith worked with a guy at the Library and I served my mission with his wife, we're excited to reconnect with them in a few months.

Well, Alex is awake now from his nap, so anything else that's happened will have to be mentioned later!
