One of my favorite things Alex is saying these days is when he asks for something and you ask back to confirm you understood what he wants and he says, "yeah...sure", like that's a great idea, lets do that!
Keith has been so awesome helping out with both kids. Up until Savanna was born if you asked us if Alex was a daddy's boy or a mamma's boy the answer would have been 'mamma's boy' every time. As soon as Savanna was born Alex quickly decided Daddy was his favorite and I would now answer that he's a daddy's boy. He drags Keith all over to play with him, riding on his back like a horse, climbing all over him, cuddling at nap and bedtime with him. Sometimes when I have given Savanna to Keith to hold and go to play with Alex he'll go to Keith and point to me and basically tell Keith to give her to me so he can play!
It's so fun to watch their relationship develop further with this personal time they've been able to have together the past few weeks, but I'm sure it's going to be an even harder transition when Keith starts his internship and is no longer around to play with all day long. Alex is singing more these days--his favorite songs are "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam", "The wheels on the bus/the animals on the farm", and "Monkeys teasing Mr Alligator".

Yesterday we went to the Thanksgiving Point Farm and played for a couple of hours.
Looking at the pigs (we don't know the other children in the picture!)--Alex spent about 20 minutes feeding corn to the pigs. He would go and pick up dropped corn by the duck pond, run up the ramp and dump his corn kernals into the pigs trough. It was so fun to watch and it kept him nicely occupied while I fed Savanna!
Next week we head out to Iowa, the time has really flown by. We're excited to get started with the internship. Keiths heard from some of his classmates who have already started their internships that the first weeks are pretty overwhelming as you learn the lingo and realize just how much these companies are expecting and trusting you with.
Savanna is doing really well. She's growing and settling into more of a routine. She has more awake times now which is fun, she loves to be held and snuggled, she still throws up every couple of days--always on me, not Keith--she loves her daddy!
LOVE the pictures! SOOO fun! :)
