The Life of the Party!!

Alex makes me laugh.

He starts out so shy/quiet with people that are either new to him, or it's been a long time since he's seen them. Some people push him to cross beyond his insecurities and make him worse, but if you give him a little space and stand back, you can see some pretty amazing things.

Tuesday was a Welcome Picnic for the interns, and the ECD's (a term for the early in their careers w/GM new hires), and the plant leadership teams. We were at a park under one of those pavillion things. After Alex had eaten a whole slice of Tollhouse Cookie Pie and a lot of Sprite, he had finally warmed up to the people around him, because not long after and he was dancing on the table. The evening ended with him wearing no shirt (he got Sprite all down his shirt and didn't want to wear it anymore) and hopping around on the top of the table.
The next day one of the interns gave us a coupon book for Huggies diapers with these advertised on the front. I thought it was pretty funny.

Some other fun things-

Alex is really into sticks and rocks right now. Everywhere we go, he finds sticks and rocks. He likes to drag the sticks along on the ground. Unfortunately today, when we were in the car I started hearing him chewing and he didn't have anything to eat with him. I turned around and sure enough, he was chewing bark off his latest stick! What a boy! Yuck! Do you think he needs more fiber? :)
