Cousin Sleepover!

Keith's sister has two little boys, one a little over two years and the other about 5 months. The 5 month old needed some surgery so we had the two year old, Jaden, for a few days...Alex got to have a playmate and roommate and it was great! This is also the family that we recently traveled with to Arizona for a family reunion on Keith's Dad's side of the family...it was a LONG trip (the getting there part took about 40 hours instead of the 11-12 it should have-but that's another story) so the boys were recently playmates just not in home territory. Here are some pictures as they played together here and there!

These are in Arizona at Keith's Aunt's house, the boys had fun playing in this and walking around with it 'on'

They had this really calm Greyhound dog and the boys just adored him. He was patient with their after he had some treats. Sometimes he would retreat to his kennel and hide under his blanket when he couldn't take it anymore!
These are from the 'sleepover' they had fun playing music...
Helping eachother take baths...As soon as Jaden saw Alex in the tub, he was undressed in record time climbing into the tub to play. They had fun despite the 'social hygiene', Alex thought dumping water on Jaden's head was great fun! Jaden did return the favor later.
Jaden building a tower with Uncle Keith. He was very upset when Alex tried to destroy it, but they were able to make repairs. Keith added stabilization as Jaden built up, UP, UP!!!

Jaden and Alex had fun climbing in and out of the crib. Unfortunately this was a skill we were less enthused about Alex acquiring. He now thinks it is somewhere to play and I've since found him in there by himself just hanging out with a toy or two! It's fine unless it is naptime and I really want him to use the crib as intended and not as a playpen!

We're glad that they were able to have so much fun together and that we could help out in some small way for Keith's sister and her family while they had this stressful time going on. Alex had a little bit of an adjustment  not having a constant playmate, he dragged me around a bit the next day from one play game to another.

Keith is back in school now too, we are getting a feel for the new semester with the change of classes and groups that Keith is working with. We'll see how it goes as we hit our stride with everything. Hopefully though, this semester will be a little less demanding since we already have the internship lined up with General Mills.
